The Denver Broncos have announced three roster moves a little more than 24-hours before their game in Denver versus the Oakland Raiders.

Middle linebacker Mike Mohamed and strong safety Duke Ihenacho have been activated from the Broncos practice squad and strong safety Quinton Carter has been added to the Broncos’ injured reserve.

Carter (a 2011 fourth round pick) came on strong during the final weeks of Denver’s 2011 season, nabbing interceptions in both of the Broncos’ playoff games. Carter hasn’t been able to return to his 2011 form participating on special teams and notching two special teams tackles in three games.

Mohamed (a 2011 sixth round pick) spent most of 2011 on Denver’s practice squad, not being activated to the active roster until November 29th. Mohamed did not have a regular season statistic in 2011 and was signed to the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad earlier this month, before being cut and re-signing with Denver three days ago.

Ihenacho (a 2012 undrafted free agent) has spent the first three weeks of the season on the Broncos’ practice squad. He was graded out as one of the top strong safeties in the draft, figuring to be picked in the fifth round.

Both Ihenacho and Mohamed look to add third string depth and weak positions, as well as filling in on special teams. Look for safety David Bruton to bump up to Carter’s old position and fill in directly behind Mike Adams.
