The Denver Broncos signed free-agent safety Jim Leonhard on Saturday. The Broncos needed a reinforcement in the secondary after second-year starter Quinton Carter injured his right knee and hamstring in a nasty fall inside the team's practice bubble July 27. Leonhard is a seven-year veteran who spent the past three seasons emerging as a fan favorite with the New York Jets, who didn't sign him in the offseason after he underwent surgery in December to repair a tendon in his right knee. The injury generally takes between eight and 10 months to heal. After starring at Wisconsin, Leonhard played three seasons in Buffalo and one in Baltimore. He was a three-year starter in New York, where he was noted for his hard-hitting style despite his under-sized 5-foot-8, 190-pound frame.

Cromartie stands by WR comments

Antonio Cromartie meant no disrespect, but he meant what he said. The New York Jets cornerback started a mini-feud earlier this week when he told ''ESPN First Take'' that he'd rank himself as the No. 2 wide receiver on the team, behind only Santonio Holmes. Chaz Schilens called it ''a slight'' and coach Rex Ryan quickly quashed any tensions during...

Not sure if this guy is on his way home from NY Jets training camp, but I think it is safe to assume he has more of an allegiance to Tim Tebow than anyone else. Note the stick alongside the “TEBOWIN” license plate, just in case anyone was confused about what it said. H/T Deadspin

Will Tim Tebow Start at Quarterback for the New York Jets this Season?
