Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas was arrested last week in Arapahoe County for failure to appear for a previous ticket according to a sheriff's report.
According to court reports Thomas was cited on Jan. 25 for failing to yield to an emergency vehicle. He was initially scheduled to appear March 21 and failed to appear so a warrant was issued.
The sheriff's office said Thomas was arrested Aug. 28 "without incident" but didn't confirm a location. He is set for a Sept. 12 appearance on bond in Arapahoe County.
The Broncos acknowledged Thursday morning in a statement: "We were notified of the issue involving Julius Thomas when it occurred on Aug. 28. It was addressed internally and is being resolved."
No comment on his status for tonight's season opener against Baltimore.
