Broncos to Interview Former Raider For OC Position
USA TODAY Sports

The Las Vegas Raiders may have a conflict of interest looming with a fellow AFC West rival.

The Denver Broncos are expected to interview former Raider Ronald Curry for their offensive coordinator position, according to Nola.com.

Curry, who is currently the passing game coordinator for the New Orleans Saints, began his coaching career with the San Francisco 49ers as an offensive assistant from 2014 to 2015.

He then served as an offensive assistant with New Orleans before being promoted to wide receivers coach and then quarterbacks coach.

Curry served under Denver's new head coach Sean Payton for six seasons in New Orleans.

The former NFL wide receiver spent seven seasons with the Raiders (2002-2008).

In total, he logged 2,347 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns as a member of the Silver and Black.

Curry was released by the Raiders in February of 2009. He got another shot with the Detroit Lions that April and then again with the St. Louis Rams, but he never saw live action in an NFL game again with either franchise.

The Broncos hired Payton at the end of January after firing Nathaniel Hackett back in December.

His request for Curry to be interviewed for the offensive coordinator role is one of his first as the new head coach.
