Given the Denver Broncos ridiculously slim situation at running back, it appears that the Broncos are poised to sign Justin Fargas.According to Adan Schefter, Fargas will be flying to Denver tonight. Per Twitter- “Former Raiders RB Justin Fargas scheduled to fly to Denver tonight to take a physical and try to finalize a deal with Broncos. Deal likely.” This deal only makes sense as the Broncos running backs have been dropping like flies during training camp. Fargas is 30 and played his entire career with the Oakland Raiders, but he should have some gas left in the tank as his biggest year carrying the football was in 2007, with 222 carries. This makes you seriously wonder about what Brian Westbrook has left. The Redskins could have used him, the Rams could have used him and now the Broncos could sure use him. Instead of signing Westbrook, they have reached out to LenDale White and now reportedly, Justin Fargas.
