Since signing with Denver several weeks ago, quarterback Peyton Manning has been getting work in at the team’s Dove Valley facility and has been working out with his new teammates off-site of the team’s headquarters.  Most notably, Manning has been throwing to third-year receiver Eric Decker, who says Manning’s arm “looks great”.

Getting work in early with Manning will be beneficial for Decker when the season rolls around, as Peyton noted to BroncoTV‘s Chris Hall on Wednesday.

“These workouts are so rewarding,” said Manning.  “You know they’ll pay dividends for you in the fall — on third and five you’ll complete a pass pattern to Eric Decker and you’ll say ‘we worked on that back in April.’”

That’s great news for Decker, but as many fans have been asking, where is Demaryius Thomas?  Thomas’ Twitter handle, @DemaryiusT, indicates that Thomas is in Georgia, at least as of Sunday.  When will he be coming back to Denver?  Presumably, on Friday — when the team begins voluntary offseason workouts.

Per Hall and‘s Andrew Mason, the vast majority of the team is expected to show up on Friday to begin perparing for organized workouts with the new strength and conditioning coaches on Monday.  Team OTA’s (practices) will start in May.

Check back on Monday as well be watching the roll call at Dove Valley anticipating Thomas’ name being mentioned.  Is it September yet?

Peyton Manning encouraged by offseason work with receivers

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning sat down with and told them that his workouts with his teammates have been very rewarding so far this offseason and he likes the progress he sees. “These workouts, they’re so rewarding,” Manning said. “You don’t feel it, necessarily, right now, but you know it’s going to pay dividends in the fall. When there’s...

Thomas: “I’m waiting for my hand to heal”

When healthy, Thomas has made some of the best cornerbacks in the NFL look silly. (Photo by Justin Edmonds/Getty Images) Wide receiver Demaryius Thomas (6-3, 235 lbs.) had surgery on a finger roughly two weeks ago, which is why he hasn’t been playing catch with Eric Decker and Peyton Manning in Denver.  In an interview with‘s Adam Fox last week, Thomas said he...

Demaryius Thomas had surgery on pinky finger

(AP Photo/Ed Andrieski) There is a reason why third-year wide receiver Demaryius Thomas hasn’t been running routes with fellow receiver Eric Decker for quarterback Peyton Manning in Denver — he recently had surgery on his pinky finger which he fractured last September to remove a pin, according to CBS4‘s Vic Lombardi and Thomas, himself...

Manning calls Phil B.

By now you've surely heard the news that Peyton Manning called Indianapolis Star writer/blogger/ultra good guy Phillip B. Wilson. Some call it a public relations move, as Phil addresses, while I liken it to the handwritten letters the former Colt quarterback is known to send to those he respects. Like Phil, I don't care who believes this is a PR attempt. In the end, Manning...

Houston Texans Won't Be Challenged in AFC South

The AFC South has long been Peyton Manning's playhouse but with last season's injury and his widely reported exit to the Denver Broncos complete, it's time for a new team to take control of this division. We'll take a look at who is ready to stake a claim to this hotly contested division even before they recruit some serious talent in this year's NFL Draft, now...

Indy Reporters Get Totally Worked By Peyton AND LOVE IT!

Guy Fieri without the bold flavors Typically when a beloved player departs his long-time team for retirement or another franchise and wishes to leave a lingering aftertaste of classiness, he takes out a full-page ad in the hometown paper thanking the fans for their support. To Anyone Who Thinks Tebow Can't Throw, Watch This Video And Your Opinion May Change

Dude, this guy can throw.  I don't get why everyone is giving him **** about not being able to throw because he CAN indeed- just watch the video. Maybe the Broncos were just running an offense that didn't allow Tebow to flourish or maybe the entire world's vision is blurred by Tebow's overwhelming pro religious speeches and just love to hate on him for that. Admittedly...

Demaryius Thomas Happy Broncos Traded Tim Tebow and Signed Peyton Manning

Demaryius Thomas and Tim Tebow will always share one great moment in Denver Broncos history. In an AFC Wild Card playoff game this past postseason, Tebow found Thomas for an 80 yard overtime game winning touchdown to defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers. Apparently, Thomas is not the sentimental type. “It’s a business decision. I ain’t going to say I was sad because...

Broncos, Jets don't want to be part of HBO's 'Hard Knocks'

Last year, HBO's popular "Hard Knocks" show was one of many casualties of the NFL lockout. The show wasn't killed forever by the lack of an offseason in 2011, and HBO is looking for a team to follow. According to Adam Schein of Fox Sports, the Denver Broncos was the first choice by HBO. When contacted about possibly being part of the show, Schein says HBO was...
