Chicago Bears get ready for training camp

5 In, 5 Out featured by NFL Live is projecting five 20211 playoff teams to fall short this year and then choosing five teams that will replace them. The Bears are predicted to replace the Lions in the playoffs in 2012. While that may sound like exciting news, the Bears need to overcome an inconsistent track record and deliver results to get there.  If you recall last summer there...

Matt Forte unlikely to sign extension with Bears before deadline

According to NFL.com’s Jason La Canfora, Matt Forte is unlikely to sign an extension with the Bears before next Monday’s deadline. La Canfora describes talks between the two parties as “fruitless” and says that the chances a deal is reached in time are “weak.” This makes sense, given everything that’s happened this offseason, including the Bears pissing off Matt Forte...

Steltz played well during the season last year, and as always has the respect of the coaches.  Major Wright on the other hand has...

Offensive Line Fantasy Value of the Chicago Bears

Jay Cutler would ask if there was any “Offensive Line Value of the Bears.”  In fact he didn’t try to deny that the O-Line was poor when asked last year. When he and Running Back Matt Forte got injured there almost was no “Offensive Line Fantasy Value.” The O-Line of the Bears has been a very much maligned group since 2009.  Since 2009, they have allowed the most sacks...
