The Cleveland Browns have a very realistic chance of starting the 2010 season on a good note against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. To get there, the team has to be careful with its multiple injured players, including defensive lineman Shaun Rogers. Even though Rogers has been limited in practice, the prospect of getting him ready to play on Sunday is music to Browns fans’ ears.

Other players that have been limited in practice this week include linebacker Marcus Benard, linebacker David Bowens, tight end Robert Royal, and offensive lineman Floyd Womack. Versatile offensive lineman Shawn Lauvao twisted his ankle in practice on Wednesday and is listed as the No. 2 right guard on the depth chart behind Womack, though it’s not known if Womack will even play on Sunday.

Throw in defensive back Nick Sorensen’s concussion and you’ve got a full list of banged-up Brownies. Nevertheless, confidence is high in the organization and among the fan base, as the new-look team is heading in the right direction. Despite the injuries, there is definitely a reason to be excited about Sunday’s match-up.
