Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam says they have notified the NFL of a possible uniform change since it’s a two-year process. Haslam: Uniforms in NFL is 2 yr process We’ve notified NFL we want to look at it. No sooner than 2014. — Tony Grossi (@TonyGrossi) January 15, 2013 Unlike a lot of people,  I really like the Browns’ uniforms.  I like the old school look.   Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; script.src = 'http://widget.crowdignite.com/widgets/27484?_ci_wid=_CI_widget_'+_CI.counter; script.async = true; ref.parentNode.insertBefore(script, ref); })(); sr_adspace_id = 1000005525107; sr_adspace_width = 300; sr_adspace_height = 250; sr_ad_new_window = true; sr_adspace_type = "graphic";

Browns stadium to change name

Since the Cleveland Browns came back into the NFL in 1999, their home has been simply named Cleveland Browns Stadium.  That era seems to be coming to an end when the Browns hand over naming rights to First Energy.

Cleveland Browns Leadership falling into place

I apologize to my bosses, and all my fans in the stands.  I have not written an article in a few weeks. As much as I would like to say I was on strike until The Browns changed leadership I would be lying. The truth is I am a newlywed and I have a new baby and a new job, so I have been busy. Back to football. New owner in Jimmy Haslam, I love him. I have already stated that I love...

NFL News: Raheem Morris to interview for Browns defensive coordinator

Despite the fact that the Eagles got Chip Kelly and the Browns didn’t, the Browns are apparently moving forward trying to put a first class staff together around Rob Chudzinski. Pro Football Talk has the news that the Browns will be interviewing former Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris for the opening. Morris had a rocky ending to his tenure in Tampa as head coach,...

Chip Kelly Never Wanted To Coach The Cleveland Browns, He Used Haslam As A Bargaining Tool

Now that you see Chip Kelly taking a head coaching job in the NFL, it should be clear that he never wanted to seriously come and coach the Cleveland Browns. Kelly led on both Jimmy Haslam III and Joe Banner, he went as far as making a dinner engagement for the following night with the Browns staff. Then, he stood them up. Kelly clearly used the negotiations with the Cleveland Browns...

Cleveland Browns lead AFC North in dropped passes for 2012

For the second year in a row, the Cleveland Browns led the AFC North in dropped passes, allowing 27 catchable passes to hit the ground. The silver lining: According to ESPN Stats & Information, the Browns were the only team in the division whose drops decreased from the previous season with the team dropping 33 balls in 2011. Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green led all...

The Cleveland Browns Are 73-151 Since 1999 & You’re Worried About What They Call The Stadium.

Face it folks, Jimmy Haslam III is a business man, he hired a head coach that was never a head coach on any level and now he is renaming the Cleveland Browns stadium to First energy Stadium, the Home Of The Cleveland Browns. Since 1999, the Browns have lost more than double of the games they won. This is a new era in Cleveland Football and when a guy puts over one billion dollars...

Cleveland Browns will “look” into uniform changes, say no to cheerleaders

While the Cleveland Browns officially entered a new chapter of team history by unveiling the sale of the naming rights to Cleveland Browns Stadium to FirstEnergy, team owner Jimmy Haslam III stated that the team will also “look into” changes to the team’s uniform. Due to the glacial pace of legalese-clad updates to anything in the NFL, the team has filed the requisite paperwork...

WFNY Podcast – 2012-01-16 – Cleveland Comedian Bill Squire Talks Sports

I’ve been a fan of Bill Squire’s from a distance for a while. I heard him for the first time on Opie and Anthony and then started following him online. If you want to check out his stuff I recommend his Youtube page highly. It’s not necessarily up to the “family-friendly” standards of WFNY, but hey it’s comedy, right? Plus, who doesn’t want to watch Santa Claus do stand...

Cleveland Browns Are Considering Changing Their Uniforms

I actually like the Browns uniforms. They are classics. Makes you think about a time when the NFL was rugged, but alas they are thinking about making a change according to Pro Football Zone. Haslam: Uniforms in NFL is 2 yr process We’ve notified NFL we want to look at it. No sooner than 2014. — Tony Grossi (@TonyGrossi) January 15, 2013

Paton not a candidate for Browns' GM job

Vikings assistant general manager George Paton is no longer a candidate for the Cleveland Browns' general manager vacancy, according to ProFootballTalk.com. It was believed initially that the Browns had interest in Paton, but he was never interviewed. It's not clear whether Paton took himself out of the running or the Vikings refused to grant permission to the Browns to interview him.

Source: Jackson, Shurmur interview

A person familiar with the situation says the Carolina Panthers interviewed Pat Shurmur and Hue Jackson for their vacant offensive coordinator position on Monday. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the team has not publically released its list of candidates. The Panthers are looking to replace Rob Chudzinski, who left to become the head coach...
