The Cleveland Browns waived long snapper Ryan Pontbriand on Monday after a pair of bad snaps in recent weeks.
Pontbriand's low snap on Sunday led to Phil Dawson missing a go-ahead 55-yard field goal in a loss to Cincinnati on Sunday.
A week prior against the Rams, Pontbriand’s errant snap resulted in Dawson missing a short field goal in a 13-12 loss.
Pontbriand had been with the club since the Browns drafted him in 2003.
The team did not announce who would handle long snapping duties moving forward.
