The Browns will be without their No. 6 overall pick in the
2013 NFL draft, Barkevious Mingo, who is coping with a bruised lung. Mingo, who injured his lung during the
Browns’ preseason tilt against the Lions, was limited participation in practice
all week. Also out for Sunday, offensive
lineman, Shawn Lauvao (ankle). Lauvao
did not participate in practice all week.
The Browns have two players, defensive lineman, Ahtyba Rubin
(calf) and defensive back, Buster Skrine (shoulder) listed as questionable. Rubin did not participate in practice on
Friday so he is a possible scratch for Sunday while Skrine had limited
Six players are listed as probable and all were full
participation in practice on Friday so expect them to see Sunday action. They are linebacker Jabaal Sheard (illness),
DB Chris Owens (foot), LB Eric Martin (foot), wide receiver Davone Bess (knee),
tight end Jordan Cameron (groin) and defensive tackle Desmond Bryant (back).
The Browns have three “Area 51” players listed with no game
status or Friday practice information and they are DT John Hughes (knee), OL
Garrett Gilkey (shoulder) and TE Gary Barnidge (shoulder).

Mingo is still recovering from a bruised lung that he suffered during the preseason.

Browns rookie linebacker Barkevious Mingo has been cleared to play and is expected to make his NFL debut this week after being sidelined with a bruised lung.
Mingo was injured during an Aug. 15 exhibition against Detroit while covering a kickoff. He experienced shortness of breath, spit up some blood on the sideline and was hospitalized for two days.

The Browns announced this morning that LB Barkevious Mingo, DL Ahtyba Rubin, QB Brian Hoyer, OL Shaun Lauvao, TE MarQueis Gray, OL Martin Wallace and LB Paul Hazel will be inactive for today’s opener against the Miami Dolphins.
