Two key parts of the Cleveland Brown trenches will not play another snap this season as defensive captain Robaire Smith (back) and the newly added Tony Pashos (ankle) were placed on the Injured Reserve this morning. The season ending for two key members of the Browns seemingly falls right in line with the rest of the injuries that have occurred within the first six weeks of football.  Not only has the team lost both of their quarterbacks with ankle injuries, D’Qwell Jackson was placed on the IR with a pectoral injury, punter Dave Zastudil never recovered from surgery, rookie running back Montario Hardesty didn’t make it through a preseason game and now Joshua Cribbs and Mohamed Massaquoi – the team’s two main wide receivers – could miss this upcoming week with concussions sustained on Sunday.
