The moon was full in Cleveland on Thursday night. The Browns may have won 24-6 against the Detroit Lions, but ended up with more injuries (four) than touchdowns on the night. Starting right guard Jason Pinkston was one of those casualties after being carted off the field with a high ankle sprain.

According to Tom Reed at Cleveland.com, the third-year starter had his ankle accidentally rolled by teammate John Greco who was quoted as saying:
“I feel terrible about it and I wish him the best and hope he gets better…it’s something I’ve got to improve on. I could have prevented it. I’ve got to be firmer”
With Shawn Lauvao expected to miss the start of the season with an ankle injury of his own, and now Pinkston on the shelf, seventh-round draft pick Garrett Gilkey of Cadron State will take the reins a right guard.
