The Browns lead the Dolphins 7-6 at halftime despite three interceptions by quarterback Brandon Weeden. Weeden’s first interception killed the Browns’ first drive, but pinned the Dolphins at their own one yard line. Weeden threw for Travis Benjamin who was double covered on the play. The Dolphins got on the board first with a 45 yard field goal. 15 plays 58 yards. The drive stalled when the Browns finally got pressure on Ryan Tannehill on third down, with D’Qwell Jackson planting him to the turf forcing a bad throw. The Browns were not able to get pressure while rushing just four players early on. Brandon Weeden threw his second interception of the game on a third down pass that was tipped by Greg Little. Former Brown Dimitri Patterson came down with the pass. Patterson also got Weeden’s third interception when Jordan Cameron deflected a pass high in the air. The Browns picked up the defensive intensity in the second quarter. Desmond Bryant picked up two sacks and Quentin Groves added one of his own. The defense came through with a turnover when a Ryan Tannehill pass was high and wide of his target and Tashaun Gipson picked it off and ran the ball back to the Browns’ 44 yard line. The Browns would score a touchdown right before the half on a Weeden to Cameron seven yard score. Richardson had 33 rushing yards in the half. Weeden was 12 for 21 for 118 yards passing, one touchdown and those three interceptions.
