Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Norv Turner is trying to change the line of thinking that has been the mindset for too long on offense. Turner is known as an ’old ball coach,’ he been around a long time and been the OC on some great teams. One ingredient he knows that needs to be added to the offense he’s installing is ‘pressure.’ Turner is in the process of figuring out who his starting quarterback is going to be, but from the looks of it, the top two Brandon Weeden and Jason Campbell both have strong down field arms that fit his offense. Turner’s system is timing based, the quarterback and the receiver’s feet are tied together, routes are determined by the depth of the quarterback drop, and length of the route. When done correctly, a quarterback knows where his receivers are and when they are going to break to an area. It’s here where Turner wants to attack, using an offense that is more based on instinct, less holding the ball and looking for open receivers. “We’re trying to create a mindset, from an offensive standpoint, that we’re going to go attack,” Turner said, via Matt Florjancic of ClevelandBrowns.com.  “Coach Chudzinski stood up in front of our team and if he said it once, he said it 25 times in the last seven weeks, ‘We are going to be an attacking team. We’re going to attack on defense; we’re going to attack on offense; we’re going to attack in the kicking game.’ I want to attack and I want to go, but we’ve got to get good. “From an offensive standpoint, we have a lot of very young, talented players, guys that played quite a bit of football last year,” Turner said. “When I look at the tape, I see guys that are capable of doing things that we want to do. We have a lot of work to do. We’re going to have to work on becoming better players, and we have to work on becoming a group that can play together. Some guys have the ability to focus and zero in. That’s what we’re going to find out through this process.
