Good news: CBS Sports’ Pete Prisco predicts that the Cleveland Browns will win their home opener against the Miami Dolphins, representing the first time the Browns will have done so since 2004. The bad news: Prisco predicts the Browns to win just three more games over the course of the 2013 regular season, finishing 4-12 under new head coach Rob Chudzinski. Prisco picks the Browns to drop games to the Baltimore Ravens (twice), Minnesota Vikings, Cincinnati Bengals (twice), Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers (twice), New England Patriots, and Chicago Bears. The teams which the Browns will allegedly top: Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars, and New York Jets. Naturally, predicting every game for an entire season can prove to be an empty exercise given the penchant for injuries and out-of-nowhere success. Prisco has long been a doubter of the Cleveland Browns, famously projecting them as a 1-15 team just one season ago. For what it is worth, Prisco also picked the eventually playoff-bound Indianapolis Colts as a 1-15 team; the New York Giants, who missed the playoffs all together, were given a 13-3 projection. The Browns finished 5-11 in 2012, and have been tabbed as one of the potential surprises of 2013 by other outlets due to off-season additions as well as the switch to an offense that will be run by Norv Turner. Browns streaker gets leveled by security

I find nothing more hilarious than streakers. The whole idea to me is hilarious from beginning to end. What exactly crosses somebody’s mind to take off all of their clothes and run across a sporting event? Arrest and capture is inevitable, and television stations have an unwritten rule to never film you doing it. However, this is where social media comes into play. Thankfully,...

Week 2 (sort of): Cleveland Browns vs. Detroit Lions preview

Week 2. You can almost taste the street hot dogs and feel the quasi-excitement, right? Anyway, the Browns face the Detroit Lions this week in the always important Great Lakes Classic. The Lions are a regular season opponent this year, but, as always, the preseason game against them is a huge deal for both the organization and the fans. Alright, that’s all the sarcasm I can muster...

Mingo hospitalized; Lewis out indefinitely

CLEVELAND An exciting night for the Cleveland Browns ended with disappointing news. After the Browns 24-6 preseason win over the Lions, head coach Rob Chudzinski said first-round pick Barkevious Mingo will remain hospitalized overnight with a bruised lung and that running back Dion Lewis has a fractured fibula. Lewis had been having an outstanding camp. Chudzinski said no decisions...

Steve Mariucci drops f-bomb on live TV

In case you don’t know Jordan Cameron, the tight end for the Cleveland Browns who scored two touchdowns in tonight’s preseason game don’t worry because Steve Mariucci doesn’t know either. You have to know when the mic is hot Mooch!

Predict the Cleveland Browns win / loss record for 2013

Pete Prisco thinks the Browns will go 4-12. So while I don’t love the exercise of going through and putting Ws and Ls across the schedule, maybe if we all do it together it will mean something. Put your most realistic soundtrack on in the background and let us know what you think the Browns are capable of this season. Don’t let your heart get too far in front of your head and...

Browns rookie Mingo hospitalized

Browns rookie linebacker Barkevious Mingo has been hospitalized with a bruised lung. Mingo, the No. 6 overall pick in April's NFL draft from LSU, was injured in the first half of Cleveland's 24-6 victory over Detroit on Thursday. The team initially said Mingo had a rib injury, but following the game coach Rob Chudzinski said Mingo had been taken to the hospital and would...

Browns fans predict the team will go 9-7 in 2013

Browns fans are an optimistic bunch, at least collectively. When you add up the results of our survey, it yields a 9-7 prediction. (Game-by-game results are listed below.) That’s probably a bit too confident for my tastes. I’ve said all along that eight wins should be the goal for the team if they are able to stay healthy and get better from last season. So let’s break it down...

Browns RB Hardesty has knee surgery

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Browns running back Montario Hardesty underwent arthroscopic knee surgery and will likely miss at least the first two regular-season games. The team said Hardesty's operation "went as expected" on Thursday. Hardesty's football career has been slowed by knee problems. The former second-round draft pick has had the anterior cruciate ligament in both...

Browns vs Lions: What I’m Watching

The preseason continues tonight for the Cleveland Browns. Can they build on last week’s performance? These are the things I’ll be watching for… From the starters: 1) Cleveland’s offensive line handled the Rams. Especially in pass protection. Brandon Weeden had all kinds of time and took advantage of it to the tune of 10 for 13 passing for 112 yards and a touchdown. The Lions...

Browns’ Richardson to play against Lions

Cleveland Browns running back, Trent Richardson, will see his first action of the 2013 football season when he makes his debut this Thursday against the Detroit Lions.  Sidelined with an ailing shin this preseason, Richardson recently stated he is ready to play.  It looks like he will get his wish. Dan Hanzus of reports the Browns will play Richardson “a couple of...
