Fox Sports Ohio:
Browns quarterback Colt McCoy will be ready to play in the 2012 season.
In an interview on the "Cleveland Browns Daily" radio program - later posted to ClevelandBrowns.com - team president Mike Holmgren told WKNR's Vic Carucci that McCoy has recovered from the helmet-to-helmet hit he received from Steelers linebacker James Harrison in December.
"He passed all his tests and he's feeling fine," Holmgren said, "and he has no residual effects from the play.
McCoy, 25, completed 265 of 463 passes for 2733 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2011, his second season in the league. He missed the final three games of the season after the Harrison hit, which took place in the midst of a 14-3 Steelers victory in Pittsburgh on December 8.
The Browns, who finished fourth in the AFC North at 4-12, have two first-round picks in this April's NFL Draft, including the fourth pick overall. The team is expected to bring in competition for McCoy at quarterback this offseason, possibly a top draft pick like Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III of Baylor.
Whatever the situation, Holmgren expects McCoy to be ready to compete.
"I know that no one will work harder this offseason than Colt McCoy," Holmgren said

Why releasing James Harrison would be the wrong move
There seems to be a lot of chatter lately around this notion that the Steelers should or will have to release James Harrison this offseason. There’s several reasons available for this argument; some harp on one more than others but if you talk to those that think he should be gone they’ll try to make a very compelling speech but in the end it would just be the wrong idea...
