Pro Sports Daily:
Cleveland Browns coach Pat Shurmur said running back Peyton Hillis is not on the trading block.
Hillis tweaked his hamstring during Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Oakland Raiders. Hillis rushed six times for 14 yards, but was able to briefly return to the contest.
Shurmur said he was unsure how long the injury would sideline Hillis, who has had a season dotted with controversy.
He missed a game due to strep throat, although there were reports he sat out due to his displeasure with his contract.
Hillis has 60 carries for 211 yards this season, which is well off the mark of his breakout 2010 campaign when he rushed for 1,177 yards with 11 touchdowns.
Montario Hardesty, who is a second-round draft pick in 2010, rushed 11 times for 35 yards for Cleveland (2-3).
The Browns face the Seattle Seahawks next week.

By pretty much all accounts, I think the Browns made a mistake sticking with Eric Mangini an extra season. It is all hindsight now of course, and don’t take this as a criticism of Eric Mangini. If anything, any critical words I might have for this period of Browns history are directed at owner Randy Lerner who authored the Eric Mangini / George Kokinis debacle. In the end...
