The Cleveland Browns travel to Dallas today at 1pm for matchup with it's share of on and off field stories. Fresh off of being mentioned as a possible Dallas head coach candidate next season, Mike Holmgen travels with the team hoping to see his squad quiet the crowd and finally get themselves a road win. Holmgren said that there's absolutely nothing to the rumor. "I haven't talked to a single soul.", he told ESPN "That's the first thing. The second thing is I honestly don't know what the future holds or what I want to do. Believe me on that. Thirdly, I've always been, quite honestly, bothered by the speculation during the season when coaches are trying to work and they're fighting like crazy for their jobs, and I would never do that." "I would never do that to anybody. I have tremendous respect for Jason Garrett." On another front, Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan is out looking for revenge on the team that passed on him for the head coaching job when Eric Mangini was fired. Ryan told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport that "Any time you pour everything into it and apparently management didn't see it as good enough, of course it's personal." On the field, or maybe we should say off the field, are a few questions on whether certain players will even play. Joe Haden is a game time decision. It looks like RB Trent Richard should be able to go. Cowboys RB DeMarco Murrary (foot) is doubtful or the game, he missed pratice Friday. "He is doing more and more each day," Jason Garrett said. "Ran a little bit more yesterday, so that’s a positive thing." Injury Report Browns – Out: CB Dimitri Patterson (ankle) and S Ray Ventrone (hand/calf). Questionable: CB Joe Haden (oblique) and DT Ahtyba Rubin (calf). Probable: TE Jordan Cameron (groin), WR Josh Cooper (illness), WR Josh Cribbs (wrist), LB D’Qwell Jackson (calf), WR Mohamed Massaquoi (hamstring), RB Trent Richardson (chest/rib/finger), DE Frostee Rucker (shoulder/illness), CB Buster Skrine (ankle), DT Phil Taylor (chest/ankle/illness), SS T.J. Ward (hand), QB Brandon Weeden (groin/thigh) and FS Usama Young (knee). Cowboys – Out: C Phil Costa (ankle), S Matt Johnson (hamstring) and DT Sean Lissemore (ankle). Doubtful: C/G Ryan Cook (knee), CB Mike Jenkins (back), RB DeMarco Murrary (foot). Probable: LB Dan Connor (neck), TE John Phillips (ankle), NT Jay Ratliff (ankle) and FB Lawrence Vickers (knee). var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});

Animated: T.J. Ward Hit on Kevin Ogletree

T.J. Ward was flagged for 15 costly yards when he hit Kevin Ogletree (and Buster Skrine) on a pass attempt. Here’s another look at it in case you missed it. We’ll have a complete discussion on the rules and whether or not this was a legitimate flag tomorrow morning. Related: Browns blow 13-0 halftime lead; lose 23-20 in overtime

Phil Taylor tweets frustration with referees in Browns-Cowboys game

It didn’t take long: The first notable Cleveland Brown has already come out on Twitter with his complaint about the referees from today’s 23-20 overtime loss to the Dallas Cowboys: How much they paying these refs man! — Phil Taylor (@PhilTaylor98) November 18, 2012 Defensive tackle Phil Taylor, who was able to play with Ahytba Rubin for the first time all season in the game...

Cleveland Browns Game 10: Winners and Losers

Who caught your eye? Did someone stand out? Who blew it? That’s what were interested in this morning. Winners and losers. It really does boggle the mind why we keep coming back for more torture… LOSER: Buster Skrine. I know. It stinks that Joe Haden was hurt and couldn’t play. Yep, it also stinks that Patterson has been hurt this whole year and Buster, you’ve had to get...

The Cleveland Spirit Cheerleaders are a good Start

I’m not sure if you guys are aware but there are only a handful of NFL teams that don’t have cheerleaders.   Being from New York and a Giants fan I’m obviously disappointed that we don’t have a squad.  Althought the “UnOfficials” are more than enough to make me happy. In the same light, the Cleveland Browns come to mind.   They don’t have an official team that...

Browns still haven't mastered art of finish

Browns coach Pat Shurmur sounds like a broken record when he talks about his team's broken record. Once again, Cleveland came up short on Sunday in a 23-20 overtime loss to the Dallas Cowboys, who overcame a 13-point deficit by exploiting the Browns' injury-riddled secondary and taking advantage of 12 penalties, It's a familiar story for the Browns (2-8), who have lost...

Browns CB Joe Haden will sit against Cowboys

Browns cornerback Joe Haden is inactive for Sunday's game against Dallas with an abdominal injury sustained in practice last week. Haden is a key piece of a defense that is tied for sixth in the NFL with 10 interceptions. Second-year player Buster Skrine will start opposite Sheldon Brown. Cleveland defensive tackle Ahtyba Rubin is back in the lineup after missing three games...

Josh Cribbs gets tackled by his hair

Some guys just can’t live without their long hair. I’ve never understood why wide receivers or running backs would want to have long hair, but maybe I just don’t appreciate a good set of dread locks the way I should. During the Dallas Cowboys’ overtime win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, Josh Cribbs was dragged down by his dreadlocks on what looked like a painful tackle...

The Sooner We Get Away From Shurmur and The Big Show, the Better

Can it get any worse here in Cleveland? I was watching another vintage Pat Shurmur-led debacle in Dallas, and all I could do is sit back and laugh. Seriously, how can you even get yourself worked up over this stuff anymore? Every week the Browns hang around just long enough to keep you interested, then fall off a cliff in the end. Spare me the “at least we are competitive” bit...

Why It Sucks Watching Your Hometown Team on TV

We’re not sure who your hometown team is, but for us, it’s the Cleveland Browns. Now before you laugh at us and appropriately call us the biggest loser you’ve ever met, we want to remind you that nothing you say can upset us as much as these f*cking guys. And since we live outside of Ohio these days, it’s nearly impossible for us to catch a game of theirs, but when we do...

NFL Report: Steelers to start Batch at QB against Browns

If the Steelers want to extend their recent dominance over the Browns, they will have to do so with third string QB Charlie Batch- “NFL.com’s Aditi Kinkhabwala reports that Charlie Batch will start at quarterback Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, according to a source with direct knowledge of the Steelers’ plans. Kinkhabwala confirmed ESPN’s Chris Mortensen’s report...

Cleveland Browns at Dallas Cowboys: Hero and Zero of the Game

Hero: Dez BryantFor the first time all season, Dez Bryant was able to put up great numbers without having an asterisk attached to his performance (*he dropped three passes, *dropped the game-tying 2-point conversion, *fumbled a punt). Bryant was un-coverable for the Cleveland secondary, finishing the game with 12 catches for 145 yards and a touchdown. Those numbers could have been...
