Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden's NFL debut began with him being trapped on the field under a giant American flag. He won't make that mistake again.
Weeden said Tuesday that he's better prepared as he starts his second season with Cleveland, which will host Miami on Sunday. Last year, Weeden opened the year by throwing four interceptions and recording a 5.1 rating in a 17-16 loss to Philadelphia. He believes that experience and so many others during his rookie season will make him a more complete player in 2013.
Browns coach Rob Chudzinski feels Weeden is ''right on track'' with his development. Weeden, too, believes he has matured as a player and is excited about the potential in Cleveland's offense, which has been retooled by coordinator Norv Turner.

In order for Brandon Weeden to be successful the Browns offensive line has to protect him. Sunday when the Browns open the season against the Miami Dolphins it is important that the line protects Weeden, we all know what happens to him when faced with pressure. The Browns o-line has some great players that protected Weeden well in 2012, this season they come in with 2 guys that are...
The Cleveland Browns official depth chart lists Greg Little and Davone Bess as the team’s starting wide receivers for their impending Opening Day game against the Miami Dolphins.
With Josh Gordon serving a two-game suspension (substance abuse violation), the naming of Little and Bess comes as little surprise. Bess, an off-season acquisition, is largely expected to play in the...
Cleveland defensive back Buster Skrine was added to the injury report with an undisclosed shoulder injury. He was listed as a limited participant. DE Jabaal Sheard was also added Thursday with an illness, but also was a full participant in practice.
Thursday’s full report:
- G Shaun Lavauo (ankle) did not participate in practice
- DL Desmond Bryant (back) limited participation...
When training camp started for the Cleveland Browns, they had stocked the running back position. Now the team is only 5 days away from the start of the season, the only household name that is healthy at the running back position is Trent Richardson. Coming into camp, there was a lot of concern to the health of Richardson’s leg. He didn’t play in every preseason game and he played...
With just days to go until the season starts the Cleveland Browns pulled a kicker out of the recycling bin. They went out and sign Billy Cundiff, yes he is the same Cundiff who missed a 32 yard field goal with the game on the line for the Ravens. The Browns must have felt desperate. Cundiff couldn’t even find his way onto a dysfunctional Jets team, yet the Browns new coaching staff...
The 2013 was considered a horrible draft if you ask me. According to Gil Brandt of NFL.com several NFL teams cut draft picks, which is not good for a scout. What happens most of the time is an NFL scout from a certain area, puts a player on his or her big board. During this […]

Earlier this week, we heard from Craig on where the bar is set for the 2013 Cleveland Browns. Given that expectations and predictions are undoubtedly different, we here at WFNY provide you with what we feel will happen between today and the conclusion of the regular season. Do enjoy.
1. Fill in the blanks: Trent Richardson will play ___ games and finish with ____ yards and ____ total...
Trent Richardson’s role as workhorse was never in doubt.
After season-ending injuries to Montario Hardesty and Dion Lewis it couldn’t be more obvious.
When the Browns cut the roster to 53 on Saturday they kept Chris Ogbonnaya and Brandon Jackson as the only backup running backs. The grouping didn’t last long as Bobby Rainey (5-foot-8 212 pounds) and Dennis Johnson (5-7 196...
While we await the next dozen or so changes to the Browns 53-man roster which are bound to occur between now and Sunday morning, we wanted to take the next 48 hours to get as many of you in to this year’s edition of our annual survivor pool.
After the debacle of last season, we have gone back to using ESPN as our host. Ease of use and a complete lack of caps in terms of individuals...
As the Cleveland Browns head into their season opener against the Miami Dolphins this Sunday in Cleveland, the most popular talking point in the local media has been a win-loss prediction for the 2013 season. With a new head coach in Rob Chudzinski, new offensive coordinator in Norv Turner and new defensive coordinator in Ray Horton, optimism and faith have temporarily been restored...
Click on the photo for the sexiest NFL WAGs of 2013 From Aaron Rodgers to Jordan Cameron, it doesn’t matter if you are a former MVP or a backup TE with the Cleveland Browns, landing a beautiful woman is just something that NFL players do. It is almost second nature to them. But some do […]
On Sunday, the Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns will kick off the 2013 season against one another in Cleveland. Starting for both squads will be a second-year quarterback taken in the first round of last year's NFL Draft. While neither Ryan Tannehill nor Brandon Weeden had the type of rookie season in 2012 as say, Indianapolis' Andrew Luck, Washington's Robert Griffin...
Trent Richardson. Brandon Weeden. Joe Haden. We know these guys are absolutely critical to any progress the Browns can hope to have this upcoming season. That much is obvious. But, what about the not-so-obvious? As we get ramped up for Miami on Sunday, after watching the four preseason games, reading press conference transcripts, and having a lot of time to think, here are five guys...
