Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden took a pounding in Sunday's opener. He absorbed a few more shots the day after.
Weeden threw three interceptions in Cleveland's 23-10 loss to the Miami Dolphins, who sacked the second-year QB six times, pressured him numerous more and left him bruised from head to toe. Weeden's shaky performance - he underthrew some passes, forced a few and missed open receivers - was reminiscent of his rookie season and had disappointed Browns fans grumbling on Monday that they need a better quarterback for the future.
However, Browns coach Rob Chudzinski said there was plenty of blame to be shared and that he doesn't look at Weeden as being on any ''leash'' this season. Chudzinski lauded Weeden's resiliency and toughness in the face of Miami's relentless pressure.
