The recently hired Head Coach of the Arizona Cardinals, Bruce Arians, brings a lot of excitement to the Cardinals fan base. That excitement won’t last if Arians doesn’t fix Kevin Kolb, the 800 pound gorilla in the room for the Cardinals in 2013. His projected cap hit for 2013 will be $14,900,000 dollars, and the Cardinals are already projected to be $1,949,672 dollars over the cap this season. Completely cutting ties with Kolb will hamper the Cardinals cap for seasons to come and starting a different quarterback will keep almost $15 million dollars on the sideline.
