Robert Littal: 49ers 28 Ravens 24 I keep things simple. 49ers are younger, faster and more talented across the board. They have a better defense and normally the team will the better defense in the Super Bowl wins the game. Kap has shown he has ice water in the veins. The Ravens won’t “lose” the game, but the 49ers will impose their will and win the game. Glenn Erby: Ravens 27 49ers 24 Lat Field Goal wins and Akers misses one late.  Torrey Smith is difference maker. Phillip: Ravens 26 49ers 23 Joe Flacco and that explosive offense stay hot. 49ers unable to pressure Flacco. Colin Kaepernick finally makes young quarterback mistakes. Kel: 49ers 27 Ravens 21 Niners defense is too much for Ray Rice and the Ravens run offense. The Ravens will be forced to become one dimensional, which means the pressure will mount on Joe Flacco. The Niners will score enough points to hold on in the end. Vashti: Ravens 21 49ers 20 With what appears to be two well matched teams, this could be one of the best Super Bowls in recent years. Although I think the 49ers have a great team, they don’t have the big game experience and veteran leadership that the Ravens do. That is invaluable, and because of that my Super Bowl pick this year is the Baltimore Ravens. Ashley: 49ers 37 Ravens 31 Look for the niners to win the battle of the offensive lines, as they will establish enough of a pass rush to befuddle and confuse Flacco in the thick of things. Also the ravens will have no true answer for containing Kaepernick and he will prove a true duel threat both on the ground and in the air. Al: Ravens 24 49ers 20 I think the teams are evenly matched, so the game will be won by the team that protects the football. Baltimore’s secondary will be able to get a key turnover out of Kaepernick. James: Ravens 20 49ers 17 Talent wins out most times, buy the talent level is almost even between the 49ers and Ravens. The Ravens are riding an emotional high that no opponent has been able to match yet. No reason to believe that will change Sunday. Ravens win as we watch reverend Ray dance off into the sunset. Tasha: Ravens 21 49ers 17 I believe this will be a close game, but I foresee a pick 6 or a costly fumble from the 49ers, resulting in a win for the Ravens.

Joe Flacco could get a big payday if Ravens Franchise Tag him

There was a time when the Baltimore Ravens did not seem certain that Joe Flacco would be the quarterback of their future.  Of course, they never said this publicly, but the signs were there.  Then, suddenly, Flacco led them to the Super Bowl.  Now, the Ravens may consider placing the Franchise Tag on the young quarterback.  If they do, Flacco will see a nice payday. According...

Do the Ravens have the best QB in the Super Bowl?

Joe Flacco's ability to be an elite QB has been questioned all season.  I've been one that has doubted his ability all regular season and throughout the playoffs.  Has anyone, including me, changed our opinions heading into the Super Bowl? Joe Flacco started the season by stating he was not only an elite QB, but the best QB in the league.  I know some people...

Ron Jaworski believes Colin Kaepernick has the tools to become the best QB in the NFL

ESPN NFL analyst Ron Jaworski believes that San Francisco 49ers Colin Kaepernick has what it takes to be the NFL’s best quarterback. In Kaepernick, Harbaugh has a young, athletic and savvy quarterback who has all of the tools to become the best quarterback in the NFL. To be clear, Kaepernick has a lot to prove before he overtakes the likes of Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady and Peyton...

Colin Kaepernick will get free Red Robin for life if he wins Super Bowl

After a rather peculiar offer, if Colin Kaepernick wins the Super Bowl on Sunday, he will receive free Red Robin for the rest of his life (Credit: AP Photo) For some, the best part of the week prior to the Super Bowl is all of the questions players are asked by the media. Last week, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was asked by a financial adviser from New York where...

Colin Kaepernick’s Total Passing Yards, Ray Lewis’ Total Tackles Lead Prop Bets Heading into Super Bowl XLVII (Photos)

With the circus of media day finally coming to a close, it’s time to get down to the truly important aspects of the Super Bowl — the bets. Betting on whether Colin Kaepernick can lead the 49ers to their first Super Bowl win since 1994 or if Ray Lewis will finish his career on top isn’t nearly as satisfying as guessing correctly how many total rushing yards Ray Rice will...

Steve Young Says He’s Jealous He Never Used The Pistol Formation

Former 49ers great Steve Young might be the godfather of the mobile quarterback/passer era.  Young was one of the first players in the league to be just as dangerous a passer as he was a runner. Young played in the disciplined precision of the west coast offense, so he was never allotted the time to freestyle like current Niners quarterback Colin Kaepernick does. Young who was as...

The Muse, Super Bowl Edition: A Quick, Uncreative, but Nevertheless True Rundown of the Numbers behind This Week’s Big Game

The knowledgeable fan is the happy fan.  Here are a few things to keep in mind on Sunday as you [Beyoncé joke here]. The numbers are from the playoffs only.  It makes for a small sample size (three games for the Ravens, and two for the 49ers), but it captures how the teams have performed most recently and in the playoff environment.   Strength vs. Strength The clear strength...

Super Bowl Gameplan: 49ers Offense

Before trying to establish their ground game, the 49ers will face the key issue of how to deal with an excitable young quarterback guiding their offense. Colin Kaepernick is hoping to become the third player to win a Super Bowl in his second season in the NFL after Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger did so in Super Bowls 36 and 40. Their teams took different approaches in each game...

Would The 49ers Defense Be Able To Stop Their Own QB?

During the San Francisco 49ers media day at Super Bowl XLVII we asked Patrick Willis, Navorro Bowman, and Carols Rogers if they would be able to shut down Colin Kaepernick if he played for a different team.

Thoughts on this weekend's Super Bowl XLVII

I was happy when the Baltimore Ravens beat the New England Patriots to make it to the Super Bowl - unfortunately, that leaves me pretty much "eh" about this year's competition. At least if the Patriots had made it, I'd have a team to vehemently root against. Of course, if they had made it, then I also run the risk of seeing them win it, so I guess it's good...
