Bubble watch: Zach Sudfeld--ESPN Boston: Zach Sudfeld is my guy to have a surprising impact at tight end this season for the Patriots.
It’s no mystery that the Patriots have significant uncertainty at the tight end position heading into training camp, and it’s Sudfeld who could stand to benefit the most. He saw extensive practice time during OTAs and minicamp, and has an intriguing combination of size (6-foot-7, 260 pounds), mobility, and hands that could allow him to play either the ‘Y’ or ‘F’ tight end positions. Regardless of whether Rob Gronkowski begins the regular season on the active roster or PUP, the Patriots may want to keep Sudfeld on the 53-man roster as a young piece to develop at the position.

Associated Press FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – We have heard multiple media outlets commenting in regards to formerNew England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez’ involvement in the case of the death of27-year-old Odin LIoyd. A.B. A letter Aaron Hernandez wrote to New England Patriots personnel director Nick Caserio was published on Boston.com today.
My favorite part is, “I have set very high goals for myself in the NFL and am focused 100% on achieving those goals.”
Hindsight truly is 20/20. Here is the letter in full:
Dear Mr. Caserio,
I am writing in regards to some of the feedback I am receiving...

Football is three weeks away! Rejoice! Well... Three weeks away from training camp. Then the inevitable disappointment of sitting through awful pre-season games - but we're close enough to football to talk about football, which makes me happy. In a preview to training camp, let's have a look at some of the key battles we can look forward to.
Let's start with the player...

Let's go ahead and charge Urban Meyer with accessory to murder, before the fact.
That's a thing, right? If not, it needs to be. The case against Meyer is as follows: New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez allegedly has murdered God only knows how many people.
He went to Florida.
Meyer coached him at Florida.
Meyer's fingerprints therefore are all over this...
Continuing our look at the Patriots 2013 roster, today we will focus on the Patriots' Tight Ends.
Tight Ends on the Roster:
We'll start with Gronkowski and work our way down.
Gronkowski is facing alot of questions for 2013. Will he be ready to go to start the year? Will he have...
Hot News for TE Aaron Hernandez
If there was a strong point for the New England Patriot defense in 2012, it could easily be argued that it was on the front line, where the likes of mountain-man Vince Wilfork stuffed the middle of opposing offenses week in and week out. He was clearly a force for this team, despite the switch to a primarily 4 - 3 scheme. Vince will never be a sack leader, but he will disrupt more...
Aaron Hernandez has not yet been convicted of any crime, but that hasn’t stopped endorsers and other companies from cutting ties with him. The latest to scrub Hernandez from existence is video game juggernaut EA Sports. On Monday, an EA Sports spokesperson told CBSSports.com that the former New England Patriots tight end is being removed [...]
Patriots owner Robert Kraft has called drafting Aaron Hernandez a “mistake” by his organization. In the face of a mistake, Kraft also defends his decision by saying he never expected to encounter this situation. According to reports from ESPNBoston.com, Kraft has said he was “duped” by Hernandez. Kraft explained Hernandez as a likable human being, and was always very respectful...
Even the most heartfelt letter won’t get Aaron Hernandez back on the Patriots’ roster anytime soon, but a letter might have been what convinced the Patriots to draft him back in 2010.
Coming out of Florida in 2010, Hernandez was viewed as a risk by many NFL teams because of a history with marijuana use during his three years at the University. Some teams took the 2009 Mackey...
According to multiple reports, the evidence documents in the Aaron Hernandez murder case are expected to be released today.

Tom Brady was once a high school kid who knew that big things were heading his way — Check out this quote from the Patriots MVP in his high school yearbook “If you want to play with the big boys, you gotta learn how to play in the tall grass.” This isn’t quite as good as J.R. Smith’s yearbook quote, but still pretty good.-TO

Many players have become unexpectedly important to this year's Patriot's team this off-season. The departures of Wes Welker and Brandon Lloyd, coupled with the health problems for Rob Gronkowski, and incarceration of Aaron Hernandez, has left the offense wide open. Together, these occurences have thrust a number of players into the spot light as important pieces to a consistently...
