Jason Cole tweets that, as of this moment, the Arizona Cardinals, New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the “leading candidates” for free agent CB Sean Smith. The Chiefs were believed to have interest in him, but that was before they signed Dunta Robinson to a three-year deal last night. Other reports have suggested that the Eagles have Smith as one of their offseason targets as well. Miami chose to use their franchise tag on DT Randy Starks and there’s some question as to whether or not Smith deserves of the kind of money that he’s likely to command in the next few days.
