The usual “apple didn’t fall far from the tree” theory is a must for this story.
The Newark Star Ledger is reporting that Joe Schiano, son of Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano, has been suspended from his high school football team for six weeks by the Florida High School Athletic Association, after he cursed out a referee September 28.
Joe is a sophomore linebacker at Berkeley Prep, which is in Tampa. According to reports, the younger Schiano was ejected from a 31-19 victory over Lennard for using profanity towards a referee.
Berkeley Prep is appealing the decision at this time.
