Sometimes you think they’ll play forever, but Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Ronde Barber has decided to hang them up. According to Jay Glazer of FoxSports, Barber told him he’s calling it a career: “I’ve had a better run than I ever could’ve dreamed of having,” Barber said. In the 1997 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected Ronde Barber in the third round as the 66th overall pick. He spent his entire 16 years with the Buccaneers organization and will be considered one of the greatest Bucs in history. His list of accomplishments include: 5 Pro Bowls (2001, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008) 3 First-team All-Pro (2001, 2004, 2005) 2 Second-team All-Pro (2002, 2006) Super Bowl champion (XXXVII) NFL 2000s All-Decade Team Ed Block Courage Award (2011)
