The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going to add linebacker Quincy Black to season-ending injured reserve, a source told Buccaneers reporter Jenna Laine.
Black was part of a scary collision with San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Matthews in the Buccaneers victory on Sunday. Black was carted off the field after the hit. Buccaneers coach Greg Schiano spoke about Black's injury on Monday:
"Overall, he's going to be OK," Schiano said. "Now, it's a serious injury. And he's having some complications with his left arm. So there's still further tests he has to go through before we can make a definitive statement. But it's serious. How much time that means, we're going to have to see."
The good news is it doesn't appear that Black has spinal cord injury. However, his left arm will keep him off the field for the remainder of the season.
