Lawrence Tynes is unhappy with being placed on the non-football injury list. Tynes is dealing with MRSA and the Buccaneers may be trying to dodge future legal battles as guard Carl Nicks also came down with the illness during training camp. While Tampa Bay is willing to pay the $840,000 owed to Tynes this season the kicker is unhappy about being placed on the NFI instead of the injured reserve. Being placed on NRI would prevent Tynes from being credited with a year of service. “This whole thing is wrong,” Tynes told FoxSports.com. “My biggest emphasis is I don’t want this to happen to any current or future player. I’m going to fight this thing as long as I have to, because this team should not be allowed to do this to players.” Tynes apparently found out about his status of being placed on NRI via email.
