Via Scott Smith of buccaneers.com,
“After a thorough search, the Buccaneers have agreed to terms with former Rams and Kentucky offensive coordinator Liam Coen to fill the same opening on their staff following the departure of Dave Canales.”
Head Coach Todd Bowles on the Coen hire,
“We are thrilled to welcome Liam Coen as our new offensive coordinator,” via the team’s website. “Throughout the selection process, Liam stood out for his innovative offensive mind, exceptional coaching skills, and the remarkable impact he’s had at every level of his career. We believe his vision and approach to the game will be a tremendous asset to our team, and we look forward to the energy and expertise he brings to our coaching staff.”

“Like many great running teams, Kentucky uses the play-action to open their passing game. Kentucky’s offense frequently uses the run threat to sucker in second-level defenders, then capitalizes on an opened-up field with a well-timed pass.”
Look for Coen to have similar philosophy to recently departed Dave Canales.
