The Buccaneers knew they had to pull out all the stops on Sunday if they were going to come away with the improbable victory over Seattle, so they attempted just that.
Still searching for their first win of the season, the Bucs stunned the NFC West-leading Seahawks — and everyone watching — as they jumped out to a 14-0 advantage with just over two minutes to play in the first half. But they really shocked the world with how they extended their lead to 21-0 late in the second quarter.
The Bucs pulled a fast one on Seattle, reaching way back into their playbook for the ol’ running back jump-pass for a touchdown play. At the two-yard line, running back Mike James took the hand-off up the middle, but instead of completing the assumed dive play, James channeled his best Tim Tebow impression and passed to tight end Michael Crabtree for the six points.
The play was tricky enough already, but Crabtree added to the drama as he had stumbled to the ground before the ball was even thrown in his...
BEST OF MAXIM
Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Mike James channeled his inner Tim Tebow and threw a jump pass for a touchdown against the Seattle Seahawks.
Buccaneers rookie running back Mike James had 158 rushing yards on 28 carries and also threw a two-yard touchdown pass Sunday at Seattle.Fantasy Spin:James only saw 10 carries in his first NFL start in Week 8 as Carolina controlled the clock, but he was heavily featured in Week 9. If Doug Martin (shoulder) is out again in Week 10 against Miami, fantasy owners can start James as RB2...
After falling behind 21-0 late in the first half of Sunday’s game against Tampa Bay, Buccaneer fans likely weren’t alone in thinking that their team’s horrid start to the regular season had finally come to an end. But for the second straight week, the Seattle Seahawks managed to hold off a hungry opponent, coming from behind to steal the victory, winning 27-24 in overtime on...
Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin took up the slack from the loss of fellow wideout Sidney Rice and the third-year receiver was targeted by Wilson a team-high 10 times against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Baldwin responded with a game-high six catches for 75 yards, including the game-tying touchdown in Seattle’s 27-24 overtime win.
Football Sunday is finally upon us, and this week the Seattle Seahawks host the gritty Tampa Bay Buccaneers in what should be a battle between the trenches! Not buying it? Oh well, I tried! The truth is that I don’t think anyone outside of Seahawks Nation is looking forward to this game. Tampa Bay fans aren’t excited because their team hasn’t won a single game and now they...
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will hit the road on Sunday in search of their first win of the season against the Seattle Sehawks.
Good luck Tampa.
The Buccaneers are 0-7 and will face off against the 7-1 Seahawks.

Try saying that three times fast, eh?… Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Golden Tate, of last season’s “Fail Mary” fame, got slapped with a $7,875 fine for his taunting of Rams defensive backs Rodney McLeod and Janoris Jenkins as he capped off an 80-yard catch and run TD last Monday night, reports the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
That was the play that pushed the Bisons passed Becker College 40-34. Gallaudet is a school for the deaf and hearing impaired, what a great accomplishment. @ESPNCFB: #HelmetSticker. Fan Vote: - @GallaudetBison improve to 8-0 w/ game-winning FG block & return to beat Becker College 40-34. @Jmelie0707: Gallaudet Football just got a helmet sticker from […]

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that the Seattle Seahawks are very likely to lose both CBs Brandon Browner and Walter Thurmond during free agency this offseason.
According to La Canfora, both Browner and Thurmond are “coveted” by several NFL teams that have pair of cornerbacks towards the top of their free agent rankings.
Having built perhaps the best secondary in the...
Doug Baldwin does not want the Seattle Seahawks to become comfortable looking at a deficit and having to play from behind.
That said, the Seahawks are proving to be pretty good when it comes to mounting a rally.
''We understand there is a process to it once we do get behind. We focus on us, we reconnect with what we need to do ... and take it one play at a time,''...
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have come out of the gate hot against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday afternoon, and they’re tapping into their bag of tricks in the process. Bucs running back Mike James completed a successful jump pass to tight end Tom Crabtree for a touchdown in the first quarter to put Tampa up by two scores.
You don’t see that every day.

Seahawks keys to success
Will the Seahawks uncover the pirate’s chest that contains their 8th W. Or will the offensive line leak like a sieve leaving Russell Wilson sinking under the depths of the Buccaneer pass rush while watching the possibility of 8-1 drift at sea like a ghost ship into a fog bank?
On the surface what we see is a 7-1 home team facing an 0-7 away team. ...
Seahawks receiver Percy Harvin is a longshot for Week 10 against Atlanta. SOURCE: Ben Condotta, Seattle TimesFantasy Spin:Harvin, who has now been practicing for over two weeks, seems more likely to return in Week 11. Ironically, that would be against his former team, the Minnesota Vikings. Harvin hasn't played yet this season after undergoing offseason hip surgery.
I understand that winning ugly is still winning and all, but I expect this Seahawks team to annihilate inferior opponents like the Buccaneers, not spot them a three-touchdown lead to start the game. Wilson was still great, as were Tate, Baldwin, Lynch, and Miller, but the defense was oddly flat for most of the game.
Also, can anyone please explain to me why Christine Michael...
