Buccaneers QB Tom Brady hates being called the 'GOAT'?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is widely considered the greatest quarterback of all time. However, it appears the six-time Super Bowl champion isn't so fond of the "GOAT" nickname.

According to ESPN's Seth Wickersham, Brady "hates it when people call him the greatest ever." Wickersham shared a story from the 2019 season when Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson called Brady the "GOAT" after a New England Patriots loss.

"Brady's eyes seemed to narrow, his lips pursed," Wickersham wrote. "It was the last thing he wanted to hear, after a loss and in general. He hates it when people call him the greatest ever — maybe because it speaks to a kind of finality he's not ready for yet, maybe because he simply doesn't feel it. He has accomplished more than anyone else in his sport, yet he still feels like it isn't enough."

Although he doesn't like the nickname, Brady should get used to hearing it, especially if he wins his seventh Super Bowl title when the Bucs host the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV on Sunday.

The 43-year-old also said earlier this week that he would "definitely consider" playing beyond age 45, which would further his case as the greatest quarterback of all time.
