Don’t worry Tim Tebow, it seems the New York Jets do not want Mark Sanchez either.
According to Mike Garafolo of USA Today, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers turned down a trade scenario that included Mark Sanchez..
The Buccaneers already have one young quarterback to figure out in Josh Freeman, and he doesn’t cost $8.25 in 2013.
The Jets are desperately trying to unload two quarterbacks and a cornerback and can’t seem to get a deal done anywhere. Garafolo writes:
‘The Jets are pretty much stuck with Sanchez this season because former general manager Mike Tannenbaum guaranteed his base salary this season. The Bucs remain confident in Josh Freeman as their starter, and this will be a big season for Freeman, who will be a free agent next spring.’
