On Tuesday, restricted free-agent offensive lineman Fred Johnson signed a one-year tender to stay a Cincinnati Bengal. He was back on the free-agent market an hour later, released by the Bengals after the team came to terms with former Dallas Cowboy's tackle La'el Collins.
Unemployment didn't last long for Johnson, who inked a one-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Friday.

The Pittsburgh Steelers originally signed Johnson as an undrafted rookie in 2019. After being waived in October of the same year, he was claimed off waivers by the Bengals, where he spent the last three seasons, appearing in 23 games, starting eight.
Last season, Johnson played only five games, starting one for Cincinnati.
