The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed free agent defensive tackle John McCargo, Roy Cummings of The Tampa Tribune reports. A 2006 first-round pick out of North Carolina State by the Buffalo Bills, the 6-foot-2, 307-pound McCargo has 47 tackles and 2.5 quarterback sacks in 40 games over the last five seasons. McCargo finished the 2006 and 2008 seasons on injured reserve and had seven tackles and a quarterback sack in two preseason games with the Buccaneers this summer. McCargo takes the place of 2010 first-round pick Gerald McCoy, who was placed on injured reserve on Monday with a torn triceps.

The Buccaneers’ Most RecentJust like everyone else this week, I think that the Bucs need to do something about their horrendous offense and play calling.
