The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are expected to sign veteran defensive tackle John McCargo, Roy Cummings of The Tampa Tribune reports. A 2006 first-round pick out of North Carolina State by the Buffalo Bills, the 6-foot-2, 307-pound McCargo has 47 tackles and 2.5 quarterback sacks in 40 games over the last five games. McCargo finished the 2006 and 2008 seasons on injured reserve. McCargo will replace second-year defensive lineman E.J. Wilson, who has been "waived/injured" after injuring his Achilles tendon on Thursday night against the New England Patriots. Once Wilson clears waivers, he will be placed on injured reserve.
