The Buccaneers have re-signed free agent linebacker Adam Hayward to a three-year deal, Rick Stroud of the St. Petersburg Times reports.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
A sixth-round pick out of Portland State in 2007, Hayward has 80 tackles and a quarterback sack in 59 career games. 38 of Hayward’s tackles have come on special teams, but the versatile linebacker has started four games over the last two seasons.
Haywards adds depth behind projected starters Quincy Black, Geno Hayes, and either Tyrone McKenzie or 2011 third-round pick Mason Foster.
