Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have now lost 6 games in a row, and have fallen into a tie for last place in the NFC South as injuries have basically now decimated the team's critical players and areas. While many will want to place blame on the Head Coach, you cannot really judge ANY area of this team's play based on today's results, because your best player is NOT on the field. Thats not to say you can't judge anything, but overall you can't make any decisions based on THIS game.
How many people feel they can judge the Indianapolis Colts effort today vs the Patriots without Peyton Manning? The Bucs offense settled for 4 FGs in the first half, how many of those drives if continued would have kept Cam Newton and the Panthers out of the end zone?
If this was the result of a Bucs game played with Josh Freeman, I would be upset and calling for more change. Unfortunately, Nothing can be proven or disproven because No.5 did not play today, and he is without a doubt the ...
BEST OF MAXIM
The Buccaneers were forced to walk the plank against the Panthers, as they fell 38-19 on their home turf of Raymond James Stadium.
Quarterback Josh Johnson made a spot start in place of the injured Josh Freeman (shoulder), and failed to impress, as he completed 16 of 27 passes for 229 yards, with one touchdown against one interception. Johnson fared better on the ground...
Brian Price's standing in the locker room played a role in head coach Raheem Morris' decision to kick the second-year defensive tackle out of Sunday's 38-19 loss to the Carolina Panthers.
Morris sent Price to the locker room following a personal foul penalty in the third quarter.
Morris said during his weekly news conference this afternoon at One Buc Place that he has...
TAMPA It was dubbed Throwback Sunday. And it was a throwback all right an afternoon the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were thrown all the way back to the mostly dismal era of the Creamsicle orange uniforms they donned Sunday.
And now they find themselves in the throes of a six-game losing streak and an unraveling season, following a 38-19 loss to the 4-8 Carolina Panthers and dazzling...
The Buccaneers are without their starting quarterback today against the Panthers. Josh Freeman, who has been struggling with a shoulder injury, is out of today’s game in Tampa Bay, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports. That means backup Josh Johnson will start for the first time since 2009. For the Bucs, Freeman’s shoulder injury (and his less…
In a Dec. 4 story on the NFL game between Carolina and Tampa Bay, The Associated Press erroneously quoted Buccaneers coach Raheem Morris following a 38-19 loss. The coach, referring to what Morris described as poor play by his team, said: "I can take getting beat by a better football team, which they were." Morris did not say, "I wish they were."
If coach Raheem Morris was already fired up about the Buccaneers' sixth straight loss, then Brian Price didn't help matters with his personal foul penalty in Sunday's drubbing by the Panthers.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman will not play Sunday against the Carolina Panthers due to a shoulder injury, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Bucs head coach Raheem Morris might need to fire his defensive coordinator, Raheem Morris, if he gets that chance.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are struggling in a major way.
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Carolina rookie Cam Newton has run for three touchdowns against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, breaking the NFL single-season record for rushing TDs by a quarterback.
Of the coaches who are potentially on the hot seat, Raheem Morris of the Bucs continues to be one of the most controversial. Plenty of people think he’s safe, even though he’s under contract for only one more year, which forces the Bucs to decide whether to extend his deal, to let him coach as…
