The Buccaneers face another tough challenge this week as they travel to Denver to play the Broncos. Peyton Manning has helped lead Denver to an 8-3 record in his first season as their quarterback. Their fourth ranked defense has also played a major role as well.  Control the clock Rookie running back Doug Martin only gained 50 yards on 21 carries last week against Atlanta. Tampa Bay’s best chance for winning would be to keep Peyton Manning and the Broncos’ offense on the sidelines. But the task may be tough as Denver’s run defense is ranked ninth in the NFL. Put pressure on Manning Peyton Manning is arguably the best quarterback in the current era of the NFL and some even say he is one of the best to ever play the position. But he has shown he makes mistakes when he is pressured. In a week two loss to the Falcons, he was sacked and intercepted three times. The last two weeks, he threw two interceptions and sacked five times to win by just one score in each game. The Bucs defensive front needs to get to Manning often not only to possibly rattle Manning, but help out the secondary as they will be without Eric Wright for the next four weeks due to his suspension. Score touchdowns Last week, the Bucs had several opportunities to upset the Atlanta Falcons but field goals instead of touchdowns was the eventual fate of Tampa Bay. Whether it was missed throws by Josh Freeman or key third down drops by receivers, it all happened in the opponent’s territory. The Bucs can not do that this week as Denver is third in the NFL in points scored so they have to get points on the board. Points from the end zone that is.
