The Buccaneers will be facing a dismantled Philadelphia Eagles team on Sunday. With firings on the staff and injuries on the field, this Philadelphia team has lost eight straight games. But that hasn’t stop a new name from emerging for the Eagles.  Stop the run The Bucs still rank first in the league against the run. So in order to not let this game get away from them, they need to stop Eagles’ rookie running back Bryce Brown from running wild. Brown has done just that since taking over full-time for LeSean McCoy who has been out with concussion symptoms. In the last two weeks, Brown has gained 347 yards (178 and 169) on the ground and four touchdowns. Tampa Bay is giving up just 82.3 yards per game. Attack the Eagles secondary This doesn’t fall just on Josh Freeman, but also Vincent Jackson, Mike Williams, and others. Between Nnamdi Asomugha and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Philadelphia has allowed a quarterback completion percentage of at least 70% in five of the last six games. If the receivers can find the holes and Freeman can get the ball to them, expect Freeman to have a big game. Dougie needs to get fresh again Doug Martin has struggled the past two weeks running the ball averaging just 2.7 yards per carry. But in order for the rookie out of Boise State to get going again, the offensive line needs to hold up. The line has been banged up all season long and may be hitting a wall, unable to produce holes for Martin to run through as defenders seem to be getting into the backfield. The potential for Martin to break out of this funk is there as the Eagles are allowing over 115 yards per game on the ground.
