He has played with three teams since leaving the franchise that drafted him and says he's learned the hard way a big payday may not be worth the hassle. The defensive tackle said Wednesday players need to be careful going into free agency thinking the grass is greener with another team. Haynesworth suggests trying to work something out with the team they start with before leaving. Haynesworth returns to Tennessee with the Buccaneers on Sunday. Titans fullback Ahmard Hall says Haynesworth put together two great seasons while motivated to become the highest paid defensive player. Albert Haynesworth causes a stir with comments about Schaub, free agency

Bucs defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth raised some eyebrows in a teleconference with Nashville-area media this week ahead of Sunday’s game against his former team, the Titans. Asked about his hit on Houston QB Matt Schaub that caused Schaub’s season-ending foot injury, Haynesworth was unapologetic. “You know me. I love to hit Schaub,” Haynesworth said. ...

Buccaneers DT Albert Haynesworth Wishes He Still Was With The Titans

Looking back with 20/20 hindsight on his career, Albert Haynesworth said Wednesday, he wishes he could have stayed a Tennessee Titan. In a conference call with Tennessee media, as his new team, the Tampa Bay Bucs, prepare to face the Titans, Haynesworth said the "grass isn't always greener" as he found out in Washington and New England. “Guys have definitely got to...

Albert Haynesworth: Matt Schaub “Screamed Like Normal” on Season-Ending Play

Matt Schaub’s 2011 season officially ended as the Texans placed him on injured reserve today after he suffered an ill-timed foot injury two weeks against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Albert Haynesworth, who played his first game for the Bucs only a week after being abruptly cut by the New England Patriots, turned out to be the main cause for the Texans’ latest (and potentially...

Ndamukong Suh kicks Packers lineman when he’s down, not helping his rep as a dirty player (VIDEO)

(Image via ShutdownCorner) The NFL’s newest bad boy, DT Ndamukong Suh, was clearly missing the Thanksgiving day spirit today, getting ejected during the 3rd quarter of the Lions’ ugly 27-15 loss to the Packers for kicking OL Evan Dietrich-Smith while he was down after a play. Not exactly a good look for the Lions, who were hoping to reverse their bad fortunes in turkey day...

Haynesworth: “You know me, I love to hit Schaub”

Albert Haynesworth has a habit of injuring Matt Schaub. It happened at least two times when Haynesworth was a Titan, and it happened again two weeks ago in Haynesworth’s first game for the Bucs. Haynesworth didn’t sound too broken up about the development Wednesday. “You know me, I love to hit Schaub,” Haynesworth told Tennessee…

Chris Cooley thinks Albert Haynesworth hates football

I think we’d all have an easier time letting Albert Haynesworth go from our lives if he didn’t continue to say ridiculous things. But he will not do that, and so, for example, he recently said that he always plays hard because he’s a role model to his children. And that he “should have just trusted myself” and signed with his first choice, the Bucs, instead of the Redskins...

Haynesworth doesn't hold grudge against Titans, his ex-team

Now a Tampa Bay Buccaneer, Albert Haynesworth said Wednesday that he's returning to Tennessee with no ill will toward the Titans.

Haynesworth shows no remorse for play that sidelined Schaub

Albert Haynesworth did little to dispel the notion he's a bad guy on Wednesday, telling reporters on Wednesday he loves "to hit" Matt Schaub. The Texans' QB was placed on IR after injuring his foot last week when the Bucs' DT landed on him.

Cooley thinks Haynesworth hates football

During the brief time that Chris Cooley and Albert Haynesworth were Redskins teammates, Cooley says he figured Haynesworth out: He has a natural talent for football, but he doesn’t like it very much. That’s what Cooley told 106.7 The Fan’s Chad Dukes (via Dan Steinberg of the Washington Post) in an interview in which Cooley…
