Bucs head coach Greg Schiano got his man. Well, the man he wanted as his offensive coordinator last season. Bucs announced today they have hired John McNulty to fill the quarterback coaching vacancy as expected. McNulty was released when the Cardinals fired head coach Ken Wisenhunt and his offensive staff after the 2012 regular season. McNulty served as Arizona’s quarterbacks coach as well. When Schiano was hired last season as the Bucs head coach, he initially targeted McNulty to be Tampa Bay’s offensive coordinator but was denied the opportunity to talk to him by Arizona. As a result, the Bucs interviewed and hired Mike Sullivan for the position. General manager Mark Dominik labeled McNulty as a “well-rounded offensive mind.” McNulty was part of Schiano’s staff at Rutgers from 2004-2008.
