The injury woes continue for young wide receiver Arrelious Benn. Thursday morning, the Buccaneers announced they have placed him on injured reserve. Here is the official word from the team’s press release: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that they have placed WR Arrelious Benn on Injured Reserve and have signed WR David Douglas to the 53-man roster. Since being drafted by the Buccaneers in 2010, Benn has played in 37 games with 24 starts, recording 59 receptions for 862 yards and five touchdowns, in addition to 15 career rushes for 44 yards. Benn also performed kick return duties this season, totaling 13 returns for 247 yards. The team also announced they have signed wide receiver David Douglas to the 53-man roster from the New York Giants’ practice squad: Douglas joins the Buccaneers from the New York Giants’ practice squad, after originally entering the league in 2012 as a rookie free agent with the Giants. He appeared in three preseason games this year, recording one reception for 23 yards. A four-year letterman at the University of Arizona, Douglas played in 49 games with 23 starts for the Wildcats, catching 151 passes for 1,542 yards and 11 touchdowns.
