Norv Turner goes on postgame rant after loss

The San Diego Chargers got off to a fast start this year, going 3-1 in their first four games.  Since then though they have gone 1-4 and Head Coach Norv Turner’s job is on the hot seat.  After the game you can tell that he is certainly frustrated and feeling the pressure and has no time for ridiculous questions. He has a reason to be frustrated with a question like that.  I...

Tampa Bay linebacker Quincy Black was carted off the field after tackling San Diego running back Ryan Matthews during the third quarter of Sunday's game between the Buccaneers and Chargers. Tampa Bay Buccaneers News: QB Josh Freeman showing vast improvement in 2012

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have now recorded more wins in 2012 than they recorded in 2011 with seven games remaining and a possible outside shot at a playoff berth on the horizon. First-year head coach Greg Schiano has accounted for much of the turnaround, instilling a new tough, hard-nosed mentality surrounding the team. One large factor for the turnaround of the Buccaneers this season...

Defense, special teams carry Bucs in win over San Diego

The Bucs defense found themselves up against the wall for the majority of the game. After some key plays on defense and special teams, Tampa Bay sent the Chargers back to San Diego with a 34-24 loss on Sunday. Philip Rivers and the Chargers struck first just three plays into the game. A 10-yard pass to Danario Alexander turned into an 80-yard catch and run when he broke free from...

After yesterday’s loss to the Buccaneers, San Diego Chargers head coach Norv Turner was heated and the media felt the brunt of it during his post game press conference. This is very entertaining.   var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI...

Tampa Bay Buccaneers News: Mid-Season Report Card

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are at the halfway point of the regular season and find themselves at 4-4. As a disclaimer, I predicted this was a 7-9 team heading into the regular season, but this is actually a team which should be 6-2 at this point. You can point to any of their losses and find two games more that this current Buccaneers team should have won. Dallas, New York Giants,...

Turner: Not time to bench Rivers

To show you how quickly the Chargers' seasons is spinning out of control, some are calling for Philip Rivers, one of the Chargers best players, to become a second-stringer. That chatter gathered momentum after Rivers threw two fourth-quarter interceptions -- one a pick-six -- in the Chargers' 34-24 loss to Tampa Bay on Sunday. But coach Norv Turner, in his Monday afternoon...
