With a new breed of defensive tackles surfacing in Tampa Bay, the front office has decided that there is no need for one of the teams veteran defensive tackles, Chris Hovan. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Bucs have released Hovan, who spent five seasons with the Buccaneers.
With Hovan out of the picture, the defensive tackle situation will lie in the hands of two rookies: Gerald McCoy and Brian Price. The former Oklahoma standout is expected to be a force for many years to come in Tampa, while UCLA Bruin, Brian Price, will also assist in Tampa’s new breed of defensive tackles.
