Tampa Bay Buccaneers
As the Bucs hire a coach, they fire another. It was reported late Wednesday by Tampa Bay Times Rick Stroud that the Buccaneers have fired their special teams coach. Bucs have fired special teams coach Bob Ligashesky after one season. — Rick Stroud (@NFLSTROUD) January 31, 2013 Ligashesky previously worked as special teams coach for Jacksonville (2004), St. Louis (2005-06), and Pittsburgh (2007-09), and was special teams assistant in Oakland in 2011. The Bucs averaged just 20.3 yards per kickoff return in 2012, third worst in the league. They were also below average in punt returns averaging nine yards per return. Certainly the returner plays a role in those numbers but the blocking ahead of the returners never seemed to come together. HOF not a case of if, but when for Warren Sapp
