Even though everything seems quiet on the Darrelle Revis trade front, Roy Cummings of The Tampa Tribune believes things will heat up against around the draft. Talk of a Revis trade to the Bucs has cooled to a simmer, but it will heat up again as the draft approaches, and so might the Bucs’ interest in dealing their 2013 first-round pick for the Jets cornerback. The Bucs are holding on tight to that 13th overall selection, in part because it’s too soon to know how this year’s draft will play out — even at the top — and what it could bring them. And that’s wise. Cummings makes a great point.  The Bucs could always make a last-minute draft day trade to land Revis and part with the 13th overall pick in this year’s draft.     Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = '...

Buccaneers Trade For CB Darrelle Revis “Inevitable?”

According to Peter King of Sports Illustrated, it’s “inevitable” that CB Darrelle Revis ends up on the Buccaneers at some point this offseason. King adds that Jets owner Woody Johnson is “categorically against” extending Revis’ contract beyond this season. Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune expects to see talks between the Jets and Buccaneers regarding a trade for Revis...

New York Jets – An In-Depth Look at Willie Colon

With Matt Slauson recently signing with the Chicago Bears and the impending departure of Brandon Moore, it is becoming more and more likely that New York Jets free agent signing Willie Colon will be a starter at one of the Guard spots. Colon was signed to a one year, $1.2 million dollar deal, the right price for a guy who has played only 12 games in the past 3 years. The Steelers...

2013 NFL Draft: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Updated Team Needs

Report: Jets will likely hold on to Tebow through the draft

According to Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com, quarterback Tim Tebow is expected to remain on the New York Jets’ roster through the NFL draft. The funny thing is that the Jets are still looking for a trade partner for Tebow. But the odds of that look very slim right now.  I would honestly be shocked if Tebow is in the NFL in 2013. At the end of the day, I think the only way Tebow...

New York Jets: Offseason starting with Darrelle Revis

The NFL’s “Offseason” is a bit of a misnomer – for any given team’s front office, at least. For owners and managers, the months between February and August comprise the busy season. The NFL is a business, just like any other, so managers and owners spend this time sifting through scouting reports and financial statements, all while analyzing the utility of prospective player...

Buccaneers Agree To Terms With DT Derek Landri

Aaron Wilson reports that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have agreed to terms with former Eagles DT Derek Landri on a two-year deal worth $3.25 million. Landri, 29, played in all 16 games for the Eagles last year, but only managed to record 18 tackles. According to Pro Football Focus, Landri is a pretty decent interior pass-rusher, but seems to really struggle at defending the run. Tampa...

NFL Free Agency: Tampa Bay Buccaneers add a defensive tackle to the roster

While the Tampa Bay Buccaneers remain silent in free agency about addressing their needs at the cornerback position, the team did make a move to add a defensive lineman on Saturday. NFL Network’s Michelle Bisner reported Saturday night that Tampa added former Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Derek Landri to the team. Bisner reports the deal is for two years and worth $3.25...

Dee Karl: Fire Up The Jets! Isles Game Day

The Jets are fighting to stay on top of their division while the Isles are clawing up the ladder in theirs. This is a must win game for two teams that may be a little weary from playing last night. Historically, home games are not very lucky for the Islanders, but perhaps their luck is changing. Jack Capuano seems to have found the right buttons to push to keep his team playing...
