On Sunday the Buccaneers suffered one of their first major injuries losing defensive starter and captain Quincy Black to an ankle injury that he suffered against the Vikings. Black’s status for this week is not certain yet and is in jeopardy seeing that Black was not on the field for Bucs practice today at One Buc Place. Black was not available for comment on the situation today as he was most likely rehabbing his ankle, and getting ready for this weeks game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Black had to be pulled from the game Sunday against the Vikings by head coach Raheem Morris. Rookie middle linebacker Mason Foster was forced into a game situation that he was not used to, coming in for an injured, experienced veteran, and had to play the entire second half. Foster had only been used in the Bucs base defense before being inserted into the game on Sunday.
