Enough is enough, and it’s time for a change. Tom Brady has killed the Buffalo Bills throughout his career, and the Bills new coaching staff isn’t going to stand for it any longer. New head coach Doug Marrone and defensive coordinator Mike Pettine know the Patriots are still the beasts of the AFC East, and their new-look defense is focused on changing that, according to Tim Graham of the Buffalo News. Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kyle Williams admitted that Brady was at the center of the schematic change, even getting into specifics about defending the reigning division champs. “With us playing Tom Brady twice a year, you have to do different things to him,” Williams said. “Because if you’re going to get in your defense, and ‘This is what we’re going to stay in, and we’re going to play it well,’ no matter how well you play, he’s eventually going to figure out how to spin the top on you.” Brady has utterly dominated the Bills in his career, going 20-2 — his most wins against any one team — in 22 career starts against them. He’s also racked up the major stats against them, completing better than 65 percent of his passes and throwing for over 5,400 yards and 51 touchdowns — both also mark career highs against any opponent. So, clearly the Bills were in need of a massive overhaul on defense, and it appears Pettine is already in the process of making that happen. “The way of, ‘We’re going to play 3-4 or 4-3 for the most part is kind of moot, and it’s kind of dead at this point,’” Williams said. “You look on film, and there’s so many teams that are so multiple. They do so many different things because you have to adapt to offenses. You have to adapt to Tom Bradys and Peyton Mannings.” The Bills already have the personnel to defend the Patriots’ offense. Now, if they ‘re able to implement it properly, the Patriots could be in serious trouble. Have a question for Luke Hughes? Send it to him via Twitter at @LukeFHughes or send it here.
