After a, mostly, slow first day of free agency at One Bills Drive, the Buffalo Bills have gotten off to a quick start on day two by making their first signing of the year. The Bills announced that they have signed free agent linebacker Manny Lawson to a four-year contract Wednesday morning.
Lawson comes to Buffalo after spending the last two seasons as a member of the Cincinnati Bengals where he tallied 91 tackles in 32 games (25 starts).
Lawson was a first round pick of the San Francisco 49ers back in 2006, and spent five seasons in the Bay area. In that time, he amassed 14.5 sacks and 157 tackles. The most sacks he’s recorded in a single season was 6.5 which came during the 2009 season.
Lawson is scheduled to meet with the media at 1pm this afternoon. Stay tuned for more on this move and the rest of NFL Free Agency as the day progresses.
